Besides operating in the port sector the company, through its integral subsidiary, Iceport - is building a storing, handling, distribution and cold cargo consolidating center beside the Navegantes Terminal. The enterprise will have capacity for 18 thousand tons and about 16 thousand pallet positions and will be divided into climatized and conventional chambers. The first part will have all the cargo moving operation carried out by means of trans elevators (high tech robots that handle up to 360 pallets per hour). The operation of the cool chamber and Terminal will be integrated and will bring advantage to manufacturers, importers and exporters of frozen cargo. Operation as been scheduled for July, 2008.
